The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child first visit an Orthodontist by the age of 7. This is a very exciting time for all of us. We look forward to meeting you and getting you acquainted with our office. We pride ourselves on educating our patients each step of the way, and the initial exam is the start of discovering the amazing possibilities available in the field of orthodontics.
Your first orthodontic visit will consist of a tour of our office, which is designed to create a fun and friendly atmosphere for our patients.
After you’re familiar with our office and staff, we will take initial pictures. Dr. Ron or Roger will then perform a very easy initial exam. At this visit you will also have the opportunity to discuss a preliminary treatment plan, and financial options that are available.
We understand that each patient's orthodontic treatment is different, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve. You are encouraged to ask questions, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions.
If it is determined that treatment is needed we will also take initial impressions and an x-ray of the teeth and head. Before braces are placed, separators (spacers) will need to be placed to make space for the bands to be placed around the back molars.
Each new patient that begins treatment with our office will be given an orthodontic welcome kit, complete with useful oral hygiene tools.
